Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress who hails from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic family. Her father Elroy is from Sri Lanka (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim, a Malaysian. Jacqueline is the youngest of two brothers and one older brother. Due to unrest in Sri Lanka, her family were forced to relocate to Bahrain in the late 1980s. Following her education in Bahrain her family was granted the Scholarship to study at Sydney's University of Sydney, where she completed a bachelor's degree of Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. Passionate about languages and cultures led her to join the Berlitz language school where she mastered French and Arabic as she learned Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed in Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she took home the title in 2006. Following her win of the Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she stepped into the world of television. She hosted a program on Sri Lanka's business named Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the child of badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and raised in Bangalore. In her teens, she participated in national badminton tournaments. She later resigned from the sport to become a designer. Padukone is born in Mangalorean heritage and her native language is Konkani. Her lineage hails from Padukone village in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District in the State of Karnataka, India. Prakash Padukone's father was an international champion in badminton who is now retired. The mother of the child is a travel agent.
